1. Introduction

These terms and conditions set out the basis on which tuition services are provided by Victoria Ferdinando, trading as VFrenchStudio. By booking a lesson, you agree to these terms.

2. The Introductory Call

All new students are welcome to a free 30 minute introductory call. This carries no obligation to book lessons and is simply an opportunity to meet, discuss your goals and make sure we’re the right fit for each other.

3. Lessons

Lessons are conducted online and are available in 30 minute or one hour slots. All lessons are tailored to the individual student and are agreed in advance between Victoria and the student or their parent/guardian.

4. Cancellation Policy

By the student or parent/guardian:

  • Cancellations made with less than 30 minutes notice may be charged at the full lesson rate at Victoria’s discretion.
  • Cancellations made with no notice, where a student does not attend a scheduled lesson, will be charged at the full lesson rate.
  • Victoria understands that genuine emergencies arise and will always consider individual circumstances when applying this policy.
  • Where sufficient notice is given, Victoria will endeavour to offer an alternative slot within the same week where possible.

By Victoria:

  • Victoria will provide as much notice as possible if a lesson needs to be cancelled, and will always aim to do so no later than the evening before.
  • In the event of an emergency, shorter notice may occasionally be necessary.
  • Where Victoria cancels a lesson, an alternative slot will be offered wherever possible.

5. Payment

  • Lessons are charged at £11 for 30 minutes and £22 for one hour. Prices are reviewed periodically and any changes will be communicated in advance.
  • Payment is made by bank transfer following receipt of an invoice from Victoria.
  • Invoices are issued weekly for students with multiple lessons per week, and monthly for students with one lesson per week.
  • Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.

6. Online Lessons

Students are responsible for ensuring they have a suitable device, stable internet connection and a quiet space for their lesson. Victoria cannot be held responsible for technical difficulties on the student’s side.

7. Safeguarding

Victoria is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all students, particularly younger learners. All online lessons are conducted professionally and with the welfare of the student at heart. Parents and guardians of younger learners are welcome to be present during lessons at any time.

8. Changes to These Terms

Victoria reserves the right to update these terms and conditions from time to time. Any changes will be communicated to existing students in advance.
